The Steel Of Fire Army Firesteel Web-Tex is reliable and easy to use, based on the Swedish military fire steel ferrocerium rods that are now used by the worlds special forces units.

The rod which is made from ferrocerium is scraped by a striker, producing hot sparks that are comprised of the friction-ignited burning metal of the ferro rod.
These sparks burn at over 5000 degrees F and easily ignite all types of tinder.
Produces hot sparks even in cold, wet and windy conditions.
This army model lasts approximately 12,000 strikes.
